Determination Direction or tendency to a certain end.
That which is determined upon; result of deliberation; purpose; conclusion formed; fixed resolution.

1. Nominal determination
2. Routine or harmonious determination
3. Definite or appropriate determination
4. Indefinite or inappropriate determination
Types of determination
(I) Nominal determination:- this is a kind of deermination that is incomparable, unique and extremely different to others on the same goal target, it separate one from others on the same line of achievement i.e you might be aiming at the same goal with someone else while your agenda and processing protocols will be quite different from the other fellow.
(2) Routine/Harmonious determination :- A kind of determination to flow in a particular routine or a congruent manner imitating or emulating someone who has achieve success in the same field of operation (this is always common in collective determinations) in this type of determination the role of a model can never be underestimated.
(3) Definite/Appropriate determination:- This is a determination that will never change for anything come rain nor sunshine , this type of determination is always ideal and the best for a long-term goal
(4) Indefinite/Inappropriate determination:- This is the most common and destructive determination, no one chooses this determination but in a short while many has fallen into it,
I have seen a whole lot of people with determination to achieve a goal within a month or biannual nor a year, before you know it boom power has changed hand determination has been aborted, sometimes we determine to save 50/70% of our income to execute a particular project but when need arises we will abort that decision for things of lesser value or even valueless

Determination can be personal or collective, long term nor short term can be positive nor negative, can as well be inspiring
It all depends on the mentality and the vision at the point of decision
Any determination can come to indefinite if proper measures ain't in place

1. Situation. The present condition of a person will definitely reflect in his/her actions, thinking, and decision
2. Destination:- The mental impression of environments can be percept from one decision
3. Resources. Especially when it's been mismanaged
4. Unforseen circumstances. When the unexpected happens it can disrupt the expected
5. Your circle. Show me your friend and I will tell you whom you are, birds of the same feather also flocks together
6. Lack of long term vision. A life without purpose is a life of tragedy
You see, the way you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible for you, determines everything that happens to you.
I have come up with ten key points that will keep on DRIVEN OUR DETERMINATION
1. WORK FROM YOUR POINT OF STRENGTH
Not all forms of determination are the same. Your determination can come from a point of helplessness on your circumstances. It can also come from a conscious choice to go with the easiest option that is available in your particular situation.
Study your circumstance and your intention, Doing this ensures that you always have something to fuel your intention.
2. DON’T CHOOSE LUCK OVER DELIBERATE PRACTICE
A fighter should know that one fight can alter their career drastically, but no matter if it’s a win or a loss, it should always improve one’s character. A series of fights over a number of years is ultimately what defines your career.
Never leave anything down to luck and always give nothing less than 100% during training. You need to be in the exact right frame of mind when you’re approaching every fight.
3. AVOID DISTRACTIONS
Watch out for distractions. The path to greatness has so many obstacles which makes you struggle so much just to make a small impact.
You’ll have friends who would love to take you out, and are offended when you refuse their offer, then you might find it very hard to keep up with your workout regime. Socialize on your own schedule, not someone elses.
Each and every one of these incidents will just stall you and opportunities could be missed, as someone else will snatch that opportunity away from you.
Distractions are like weeds in a well-cultivated vegetable farm that host diseases and hinder the uptake of nutrients by your crops.
4. NARROW YOUR CHOICES
Failure to strike out your distractions and detractors leads to a dimmed focus and soon you’ll be unable to decide what to do, even though you know what’s best for you.

On the other hand, if you identify what distracts you and stay committed to avoiding it, then you’ll become much more focused on your goal.
Your mind will have fewer choices to make it wander around and come up with excuses for not taking a fight or going to train
5. BECOME DEEPLY COMMITTED
Being committed means to make a solid, well thought out plan that displays the best path to achieve your goals….and then sticking to it without deviating from your plan.
That’s difficult enough but if you want to become great at what you do, you have to over-commit. Instead of running 5 miles, run 6 miles. Instead of watching TV, watch other masterful boxers display their craft. You have to make your entire life revolve around your desire.
6. WORK WITHIN THE LAWS
Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Bernard Hopkins and many other greats obeyed the laws of good health and self-discipline. If you have any inclination to reach to that level of success, you need to master the laws that govern what you want to achieve.
Laws are goal posts that show you where to aim. They are like bridges that connect one side of your intention with the other side of your achievements. If you break a law either consciously or unconsciously, the mountain top gets higher and you may never be able to reach it.
7. CREATE PERSONAL VALUES
Once you identify the laws that should guide you in your endeavor, come up with personal values that you’ll not compromise for anything else. Personal values give you a purpose for staying committed to the goal even when everything else seems meaningless.
Sure you can have low morals, be determined and still reach your goals, but if you want to remain happy no matter what position you’re in, then don’t “sell yourself out” or step on someone else’s toes just to get further. Keep the personal values aligned to the laws so that you work in a proactive way.
8. REALIGN YOUR ACTIONS REGULARLY
It would be unfortunate for you to dwell so much on values that are not congruent to the present laws. Remember you can only bend for the law but the law cannot bend for you. This is true for all kinds of laws, whether they’re mental or physical.
For example, if you’ve told that weight training will increase your power, and you’ve been doing it for a long time, then all of a sudden, other facts presents itself that it’s not good for you, then you must change the way you do things.
Seems simple, but many people find it difficult to break a routine they’re so used to, especially if it coincided with their initial beliefs.
9. TAKE ACTION NOW
You can only learn from your past so you need to put your attention on what you do now. Since you’re reading this ,I believe it’s a step in the right direction. It’s all good to have a vision and a plan of getting there, but the steps you make now will lead you to the goal or away from it.
Aim to make good use of any opportunity that you get on any given day because it may not come around again. Do not wait for inspiration but instead, you must seek it and you will surely find it.
10. DON’T FORGET THE FINISH LINE

There’s a well-known saying by Mike Tyson – “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face“. This is when reality sinks in and you have to deal with the present situation.
There’s no doubt there are times when nothing goes according to plan and you just feel like giving up.
These times are the most crucial points in your life and the decision you make will affect you for the rest of your life.
Conclusion
A purposeful life is when you are moving towards a big goal in your life that aligns with your values, passions and makes you happy. This isd harder than it sounds because finding your purpose in life is not always easy.
Fortitude is what will ultimately make you as a person and is what all great people are capable of, no matter how bad the situation is.
Don’t forget, at times like this, the finish line is only within arm’s reach.
