THE IMPORTANT OF THE HOLY COMMUNION IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.
THE IMPORTANT OF THE HOLY COMMUNION IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.
Scriptural solution insight.
I remember in my doctrine teaching Class (catechism class), They take time to teach the importance of Receiving the Holy Communion as a believer, it's spiritual Nourishment, It's divine Power. As a Catholic Christian, we (I) believe That Holy communion it's not just bread and Wine. It's the body and blood of Christ. During the consecration in the Mass, the bread and wine become the actual Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. This change is called transubstantiation. While the appearances of bread and wine remain, their essence is transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ.
In my life about faith, I don't like to defend my Faith, I live my faith. To be a living proof of the faith that I practice. But in the Case of Holy Communion Let me stand to say according to Job 32:9..... "SOMETIMES THE ELDERS ARE NOT WISE.........." Can you say that the Holy communion is not instructed by God, the bread is Small. Even in my personal Study about the Apostle it's their daily Part of Fellowship, that only the Catholic practice till today all over the World.
As a Catholic believer that grows under this daily practice of Holy Communion, I can tell you many Encounters that show That it's Jesus Himself. I remember me and My friends (Now a seminarian) Had a vigil and we wanted God to prove to us that he's presence in the Holy Eucharist. We Pray and say show us yourself. I remember that, the candle light we used that Night Burn and began to burn Blue flames 🔥 until our eye drew to the light until it returned back to normal. The Holy Communion is not just bread and Wine. It's Christ himself. As a Catholic I believe what The elder calls just small bread put in the, in the, In the. Is the Presence of Christ. It's Christ himself.
The doctrine of the Real Presence asserts that Jesus is literally and wholly present in the Holy Eucharist, under the appearances of bread and wine. Even with the appearance of Bread and wine, it's a source of Wisdom to me. That is the source of my strength and many who have discovered that it's Jesus himself. When it's a word from Jesus himself.
Luke.22.19 - And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."
Luke.22.20 - In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
I always wondered, why some seemed not to totally agree with the scripture, let me talk from the wisdom of the scripture, Because some who are not Catholic and understand the wisdom of the church on the Sacrament may be confused. (My article is neither Catholic nor Catholic).
1) You must Understand That the Bread and wine after Transubstantiation is the real presence of Christ: The bread Jesus broke and blessed and gave thanks He declared his Body. The Process of the Blessing of the Bread and wine to become The real presence of Christ it's called Transubstantiation. And the process can only make sense to a Spiritual and faith person. You may be spiritual and not have faith. You don't need more Prove than What Jesus said in the Bible verse above. He said it's my body and blood.
Because of the real presence of Christ under the appearance of Bread and wine, The Catholic church makes the Holy Eucharist the center of the Church worship. That is why Catholics believe in the Holy Eucharist more than any Priest, Prophets, or Pastor. Cause we are able to See Jesus And talk with him directly.
2) You must Understand that He said we should do it in His Remembrance: Each time We Celebrate the Mass we Remember Christ and we receive him into our Soul. That's why all over the world the mass is celebrated every day. Not because we are Catholic, but follow the command of remembering Christ.
And with The Holy Communion our Fellowship with the Father is not complete,
Acts.2.42 - They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Acts.2.46 - Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
Even after the Experience of Pentecost, the Apostle understands that their fellowship is not complete without breaking the bread. The Liturgy of the mass that makes the bread and wine real presence is from Acts 2:42. 1) Liturgy of the word, and Eucharist. So it's a daily thing to break bread as a believer. And note it's not just bread, there is a way the Bible describes how the bread should look like. So afford elders who are against the Holy communion.
Why is the Holy Communion Important in the Body of Christ.
1) It's a Remembrance of Christ Sacrifice. Each time you Receive the Holy Communion, it reminds us of the Sacrifice of Christ for his church. So it's important you partake in the Holy Communion so you may Have Life in Christ. It's his Command for us to do it in his remembrance. John.6.54 - Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
It's only when you partake of the Holy communion that you have Eternal life, it's an outward Sign, with inward Grace.
2) Spiritual Nourishment: Just as physical food sustains the body, the Holy Communion provides spiritual nourishment. It strengthens believers' faith, fortifies their relationship with Christ, and renews their commitment to follow Him (John 6:53-58). It's a spiritual Food to us as Catholics. Immediately I received Christ Under the appearance of Bread and wine, My Spiritual life was Nourish. The Holy Communion makes us a Mobile tabernacle. Because Christ is in us. And he that's in us is greater than he in the World. It gives Spiritual Strength.
3) Proclamation of the Gospel: Each time believers celebrate the Holy Communion, they proclaim the Lord's death until He comes again. This act serves as a testimony to the saving work of Christ and a declaration of His return
1 Cor.11.26 - For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
Receiving the Holy Communion is the Gospel itself.
Seriously been a partake of the Holy Communion for past 20 year ago, There's some important that you can't understand if I discussed them here that why I decided to just explain The importance only from the scripture, Lastly the Importance of the Holy Communion.
4) Reflection and Self-examination: The Holy Communion encourages believers to reflect on their spiritual lives and examine their hearts. It is a time for confession, repentance, and reconciliation, promoting spiritual growth and holiness (1 Corinthians 11:28-29).
If I do something bad, and I partake in the Holy Communion, kai, my conscience will not let me rest until I do self examination and reflection on my wrong ways. Communion is important to promote holiness.
Finally, The Real presence of Christ is shown under the Appearance of bread and Wine. Receiving the Eucharist brings believers into closer communion with Christ and with each other. It strengthens the unity of the Church, the Body of Christ, and deepens the believer's relationship with Jesus. God bless you.
Let's Pray: Holy Spirit Open my eyes to the Truth of your word, Give me the Grace to receive the Holy Communion till death. Amen.
Hope it's insightful.
